Adhering to a strict “made in Germany” philosophy, Burmester components are hand-built in Berlin to the highest standards in the industry. The look is striking, but it’s the sound that has made Burmester legendary amongst audiophiles. The Burmester sound can best be described as muscular, fast and precise. Don’t mistake that for lifeless. Burmester brings a level of openness and realism to the soundstage that is just mesmerizing. The resolution is unlike anything we’ve heard, bringing every fine detail to life to create an unbelievable sense of realism.

The Japanese have a love affair with high-end audio and Accuphase is arguably the finest product they build. What we love about Accuphase is it’s classic styling, iconic meters, gold finish and the way it exudes quality right down to the weight & feel of the remote control. And the sound? If tube gear had the speed and control of solid state, then you’d be describing the Accuphase sound in a nutshell. Rich, expansive and smooth with the punch, precision and control we expect from the best high end solid state.

Gold Note is a beautifully made Italian product that checks a lot of audiophile boxes at affordable prices. We love it’s clean sound and power that capably drives even the most difficult speakers. The look and feel is right up there with much more expensive gear. Gold Note does the little things very well that make listening sessions a ton of fun. Most notably is their streaming app which is the best we’ve seen. Their product line is expansive with turntables, amps large & small, streamers and even the Swiss Army knife of headphone amplifiers!

First off, if you don’t think cables make a difference in audio fidelity, then you’re probably in the wrong place. They do. And some just do it better than others. Ray Kimber experimented with eliminating noise in speaker cables out of necessity as a sound & lighting designer in the mid-70’s. Established in 1979, Kimber Kable is recognized as one of the pioneers in high-end audio cables. Their line provides entry-level affordability for those on a budget as well as “no compromise” cables for the lucky audiophile who can afford the very best. We’re proud to internally wire our speakers with Kimber Kable and we highly recommend Kimber interconnects and speaker cables for our systems.
